Yangshuo countryside, Jessie's one day tour to PudiJessie offers a "One day real countryside tour" to her hometown Pudi. Although the tour can be part of one of her other tours, we are glad to offer it now as a one day tour too.
Pudi is very seldom visited, despite only 22 km from Yangshuo town. In fact, many locals in Yangshuo have heard of Pudi! Ask and they will say, yes, Fuli, Puyi.... but Pudi is not on the map, it's not on any ones focus. Thus it is an excellent option to visit an unspoiled village in the beauty of the limestone mountains. See our Pudi page for more about the little town. So what do we offer for a One Day Tour to the countryside of Pudi Town? After breakfast, we will pick you up from you hotel in Yangshuo. We go to Mushan Wharf where we take boat to Jessie’s village Pudi. The boat ride takes about 1.2 hours, down stream to Pudi. On the way you will enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Lijiang River.
At arrival we will from the river side to Pudi village through the rice fields. We will visit the Pudi primary school, meet the children, talk to them. You can have a volunteer English class at the school. (this is usually considered to be one of the highlights of the tour!). We will have lunch at Jessie’s house. After lunch, we can have a walk around the village (see the Pudi page for more about Pudi Town). In the afternoon we will take the boat back to Mushan wharf and from there back to your hotel.
