Taxi to Yangshuo and GuilinAlthough there are buses in between Yangshuo and Guilin, A taxi to Yangshuo or Guilin could be preferable. Especially when you have a flight from Guilin International Airport.
So, what is the alternative? Taxi to GuilinThe 66 km ride from Guilin to Yangshuo can easily be done by taxi and it is remarkable cheap. You have to prepare yourself for some hackling but that is normal in China. Expect to pay about Y130-160 for the journey which will take about an hour. All taxies take the old and most direct road from Yangshuo to Guilin (or vice versa), road 321 which is for the most a 4 lane road. Especially if you come from Guilin, it's worth to take a taxi. You will pass the junction to Yangdi, Putao town and Baishe. The closer you come to Yangshuo, the more spectacular the scenery will become. From a taxi, obviously you will have more options to enjoy the scenery. If you have a late flight or train into Guilin (check our train to Guilin page) and you don't want to waste your time in Guilin city, a taxi might be your only option.
