14 days tour around Yangshuo and Guizhou

Day 1

We pick you up for the Miao Minority Tour at the Guilin airport and drive you to Yangshuo. We will check in at one of our recommended 3 star hotels (Deluxe room), it is about 1.5 hours drive from the airport to Yangshuo.

Day 2 Yangshuo bike ride

After breakfast, your guide will meet you at 9:30am for bike ride. This bike ride will lead you through the Yangshuo countryside to the Yulong river.

Cycling in the Yangshuo countryside Once at the river, we will take bamboo raft down to Gongnong bridge. It is about 1.5 hours on the river. The rafting will show you the best part of the scenery. On arrival at Gongnong bridge, we will continue to Moon Hill which we climb up (about 1 hour).

Coming down from Moonhill it's lunch time, which we will have at Moonhill Cafe. After finishing the lunch we will cycle back an alternative road to Yangshuo. The whole trip will take about 6 hours but don't worry, you will have plenty of time to rest and make photos!

In the evening we will watch the Liu Sanjie light show in evening. It starts at 7:45pm, finish at 8:45pm.

Day 3 Yangdi-Xingping Li River cruise

The part from Yangdi to Xingping is the best part of the Li river cruise, we will pick you up up at 6 am and drive (50 minutes) to Yangdi.

Rafting at the Yulong river We will spend about 1 hour on the boat. We will have breakfast in Xingping. After breakfast, we can visit the local market, to see how the local people sell and buy stuff. Free afternoon.

Day 4 Yangshuo village tour

Day 5 Yangshuo to Pingan rice terrace and Zhuang minority area.

Ping An rice terraces is 3 hours driving. After lunch, we will walk to “Old Zhuan” minority village, this is a total of 2.5 hours hike where you enjoy the beautiful rice terraces. In Old Zhuan we will visit the oldest wooden house in this village. We will stay in the Countryside Hotel.

Day 6 Pingan rice terrace and Dazai

After breakfast, we will hike to Dazai, it is about 5 hours hiking. You will hike through the rice terraces and villages. After lunch, you will take car back to Ping An, we will stay another night in Ping An.

Day 7 Sanjiang Dong minority area

It takes 2 hours driving to Sanjiang. On arrival we will have lunch at Chengyang bridge maan village. You will stay overnight at Longfeng hostel. After lunch, you will watch the “Dong” minority show in the village, after the show, you can walk around the 8 Dong villages around.

Day 8 Sanjiang to Zhaoxing

After breakfast, we will drive from Sanjiang to Zhaoxing. On the way we visit Sanheli village and to see the old temple. And to see Qinayan village. Stay overnight at Zhaoxing hotel.

Day 9 Tangan hike to Zhaoxing

Today is hiking day, we will start from Tangan and walk down to Zhaoxing town. This is about 3 hours downhill hiking. On the way we will see some "dong" villages. You can explore the town after lunch.

Day 10 Zhaoxing to Congjiang

We will drive to Congjiang, visit Basha and Xiaohuang village. Basha is the place where the boys still keep their long hair. It is also the only village in China were people still keep their guns! We will stay in Congjiang Hotel.

Day 11 Congjiang to Rongjiang

Rongjiang is our next stop. On the way we will stop at several local "miao" villages to explore the local markets. We will visit Dachang, where the minority people built the their granary on the water. We will take a ferry to find more remote villages and finally arrive in Rongjiang where we will stay.

Day 12 Rongjiang to Xijiang Miao minority village

Today is again filled with visits to minority Miao villages, such as Lande and Nahua. We will drive about 5 hours today to Xijiang which is considered to be the most spectacular of all Miao villages. More than 1000 Miao minority families living there. We will stay here too.

Day 13 Xijiang Miao minority village

We will spend a day in Xijiang where we watch the Miao minority show in the morning. We will walk around in the villages, explore the village, and meet some local Miao families and stay another night in Xijiang.

Day 14 Xijiang to Guiyang airport

On the last day of the Miao Minority Tour we will drive 4 hours to Guiyang airport for your flight to your next destination. In Guiyang the tour ends.
