Kelly's Cafe Yangshuo

Kelly's cafeKelly's Cafe in Yangshuo is one of the those cafe restaurants you easily dismiss thinking it's again one of the many of "all the same cafe". Right? Wrong!

Kelly is one of these young and hard working ladies who build her cafe at the new Gui Hua Street, a little street just behind the famous West Street.

Not located at West Street means almost automatically less exposure. While on an average summer evening West Street is crowded and the cafe's are full (and the prices high!), Kelly's Cafe is an oasis of quietness. I hear you ask... isn't it far walking from West Street? No way, it's 1 minute walk from West Street if you want to have a taste of that. But for a more comfortable sit at the tiny river which crosses the heart of Yangshuo, it's Kelly's you want to be.

So, we sorted out that Kelly's is a great place to enjoy the evening. (In winter, the small cafe is comfortable warm too). It became over the last few years a favorite of travelers and expats. And not for nothing. The food is as good as you can wish. Fresh coffee is served with hot milk (if you wish).

Fried tofu and sweet and sour chicken are of some of the best you can get in town. But I would suggest you try Kelly's hotpot. If you know hotpot, you will be pleasantly surprised by the way Kelly does the job. And if you have never tried it, this is an excellent moment to try it out.

Also worth to mention are the pancakes. Check out the extensive menu, you will soon find out why I can't mention, let alone recommend all the dishes she offers.
