There are many hotels in Guilin. As a major
tourist destination over the years, Guilin has a wide selection of hotels
although some of the cheapies are hard to find.
Guilin has gained over the years a status with (especially backpackers)
travelers as "not very interesting" but as there are several interesting
attractions in Guilin, it's worth a stay for a few days. And in Guilin there
are a several really good hotels to be found. Hotels in Guilin can be from
reasonable cheap to seriously expensive. So let's have a look at the hotels
and hostels.
All of the hotels in Guilin in this list beneath I have visited, though I have not
stayed in all.
The Eva Inn is the hotel we use for our guests in Guilin. It's a 4 star hotel
with all the comforts you can expect from a 4 star.
This hotel offers guests not only a great location but also great
amenities, including an on-site restaurant, Left Bank Café, which offers
both Western and Chinese foods throughout the day.
We choose to use the Eva Inn also because of it's excellent central
location with shopping centers and the Li River both nearby.
The Eva Inn Guilin also offers a business center where business travelers can
stay on top of work, and the hotel features several multifunctional rooms, which
can be used for business meetings, seminars, or private functions. The hotel
also offers a 24-hour front desk, and guests can enjoy an on-site bar at the end
of a long day.
One of the top hotels in Guilin is the Sheraton Hotel, conveniently
located in the middle of Guilin city center and in walking distance of the
famous Elephant Trunk Hill. As you can expect from the Sheraton, everything
is top notch.
With
its location right in the middle of Guilin, the Sheraton is one of the best
choices for your holiday in Guilin.
Talk about a quality hotel in Guilin, the Park Hotel is such
a hotel. It's one of the longer in business 4 Star hotels in Guilin and it
has a good reputation for its friendliness over the years. Amongst its
attractions is the swimming pool, an exquisite restaurant where the Chinese
and the Western food are a good value and with its central location in the
heart of Guilin, you can't really go wrong.
The Grand 0773 Hotel Guilin has over 100 rooms available. I admit, it's one of
the few hotels in Guilin I stayed myself and it was a pleasant stay. With
it's central location near the Li river and the city center, it is a good
choice.
When I stayed in the Grand 0773 Hotel Guilin it was renovated, which is by now
all finished. The hotel is the first exquisite business hotel features
European-American Postmodernism style. The atmosphere in the hotel is very nice, decoration decent
and the rooms, from cheap to expensive are all very good and an excellent
value for your money.
The Airline Grand Hotel Guilin is located near the railway station. It's
a huge building with large comfortable rooms. The only set back seem that
some of the staff speak little English. Amongst the services of the hotel
are a swimming pool, a gym and a sauna. It's a good choice.
Lijiang Waterfall Hotel Guilin has 48 guestrooms including standard rooms
and suites, with air conditioning, TV, IDD and broadband Internet access,
which are available in upscale rooms. The location might be a little turn
off for some travelers but it's worth to stay in the area behind the railway
station and close to the main bus station. .
It's a good value for your money. Nearby you will find some excellent little
restaurants.
Another very reasonable priced, though not new, hotel. The Osmanthus is a
very big hotel with 370 rooms and it's conveniently located near both the
intercity bus station and the railway station. For what the hotel offers, it
is an excellent price, especially considering the location right in the
heart of Guilin.
Located next to the Osmanthus Hotel Guilin, the Osmanthus Flower Hotel
offers similar rooms at almost the same place. Both hotels are 3 star and
good options for independent travelers.
Few cities in China are so spectacular located as Yangshuo, 66 km south of
Guilin. Yangshuo attracts annually millions of visitors. Obviously there are
plenty of good hotels. We have made a selection:
