Explore Yangshuo with hiking and Pudi village (5 days)

This tour is great if you have some time to burn and if you like being active. It included hiking, cycling and a visit to Jessie's hometown Pudi.

Day 1

We pick you up at the Guilin airport and drive you to Yangshuo. We will check in at one of our recommended 3 star hotels (Deluxe room), it is about 1.5 hours drive from the airport to Yangshuo.

Day 2: Bicycle tour around Yangshuo

After breakfast, we take a bicycle, cycle to Yulong river. Here we take a bamboo raft and we will drift down the river to Gong Nong bridge. This is (we think) the most beautiful part of Yangshuo county. The raft takes about 1.5 hours.

We continue to Moonhill where we will hike up to top of Moonhill, it is about 1 hour walk with 840 steps for each way ! ( Or if you don't want to hike Moonhill, you can relax in Moon hill cafe at Bottom of Moon hill, enjoy the scenery from bottom.)

By the time we come down from Moon hill, it time for lunch. We will have lunch in the Moon hill Cafe (not included in the price). After lunch, we will cycle back to Yangshuo through the countryside. The total time we are cycling, hiking and cycling back is about 5 hours (of course we take our rest as much as we want).

In the evening, we will watch the Liu Sanjie light show, it is starts at summer time 8pm, 1 hour show finish at 9pm. Winter time start at 7:45pm, finish at 8:45pm.

Day 3 - Hiking from Yangdi to Xingping

After breakfast, we will take a taxi transfer to Yangdi. Here we start hiking the best part of the Li river, it is about 5 hours hike. The hike includes crossing the river with local boats and it gives you an extraordinary view of the beauty of the Li River

Lunch in Pudi - Stuffed Snails

The last day of Jessie's tours will bring you to Pudi where you will enjoy a lunch with Jessie's family. stuffed snails

Highly recommended is to enjoy some stuffed snails. It's a secret local recipe and absolute worth to try. If you want to try, ad Y50 to the bill.

For many of Jessie's clients a visit to Pudi is clearly the highlight of the tour.

Around lunchtime we are in Xingping where we have lunch in This Old Place. We watch the cormorant fishing in the night, start at 7:30pm, finish at 8:40pm.

Day 4 - Visit the real Chinese countryside of Yangshuo

This is the most spectacular day we have to offer. Today we will take a boat to Jessie's village which will 1.5 toi 2 hours. Although Pudi is only 22 km from Yangshuo it takes 3 buses and an additional 20 minutes walking for the locals living in the village to reach Yangshuo Town center

In the village which is located in between the hills and the Li River we can do a Volunteer English class, teach the primary school children.

After the class, we will have lunch in Jessie's house. Then walk around the village, see the real countryside people's life, back to Yangshuo by boat in the afternoon.

Day 5 - Departure transfer back to the airport
