going to Yangshuo

Hi

I am considering going as a volunteer to an English college in Yangshuo-will I be safe and although your directions are very good not sure on the timing if I am coming from the UK London is it best to get a direct flight to Guilin or Hong Kong and go from there and because everything of course is in local money what is that in English conversion is it 5 to the pound or what pls?

Any travel help/advice would be welcome

train to Guilin

If you open the trains section you will see the PDF with the timeschedules for trains to Guilin, 4 trains a day.

There no boats from Hong Kong. If you want the boat, you can go as far as Zhaoqing and then take a bus to Guilin which stops in Yangshuo.

Can one get from Beijing airport easily to Yangshuo as its costly to get flights to Guilin but from Hong Kong it seems a nightmare to get there.

Are there any boats from Hong Kong to Yangshuo?

Hong Kong flights sounds better but its very hard to get from there it seems?

advice please I dont mind a train journey from Beijing????

If you can get a flight directly from London to Guilin, you can do that. However, there are more flights to Hong Kong. And from there Flights, train, bus, boat & taxi info page for which transport you like best.

In Hong Kong you can easily get a Chinese visa.

Earnings depend a lot on your experience and how long you are available, I would recommend you simply fill in a form for on the teaching in Yangshuo/China page with your CV.
