Ballooning in YangshuoBallooning in Yangshuo is a new activity but it's amazingly interesting one. Starting point of your ballooning trip is near the Yulong river.
No Hot Air Balloon until further noticeThe shocking news of a lethal accident with one of the Hot Air Balloon companies: "Four Dutch tourists -- three men and one woman -- died early Wednesday when a hot-air balloon caught fire and crashed in Guilin." (source Xinhua) Our condolences go to the families of the 4 people who died in the accident. Meanwhile Jessie informed me that this is the second accident in a few weeks. The first accident, late September had some badly injured victims. Authorities have suspended all balloon activities from all companies including the one company we use for our customers. We would like to clarify that the accidents were not with the balloons from the company we use.
