It's less then 48 hours before flying to Hong Kong and cycling to Yangshuo again. Weather in Hong Kong and south China are around 30-32C, a good temperature to cycle around. I am excited, as always to go again. It's been almost a year since my last visit and I can't help wondering .... what will be changed this time? By the end of next week or so, I will be again in my favorite Chinese town.

Yangshuo is bathing in the summer heat, 28-32C. I remember some years ago there was a whole day no electric, meaning, no aircon or even fans. A lot of people went to the Li River for a swim. Hopefully not this time!

Cormorant fishing in Yangshuo

The Yangshuo rivers

In the hot summer months the river is always a great way to cool off. Some enjoy a raft, others go for a swim. The locals in Yangshuo town swim in the Li River but the Yulong river is a better option. Here it is safe to swim (the Li River is not that safe). And what is nicer then after a day exploring Yangshuo's landscape then to dip in and cool off.

Like it or not, my favorite hotel in Yangshuo was and still is the Snow Lion Riverside Resort. I consider it almost as my home. What a great place to be. I can not recommend it enough!
