| Hi Welcome back to our Yangshuo News E-zine. In the last weeks I have been able to get some of my impressions of my recent trip to Yangshuo together. I was able to sort out my 1400 photos I made in those 3 weeks and we have been able to add many new pages to the Yangshuo website. And there are many more new pages coming up. New pages seem to keep "popping up" like weeds but there's so much to tell about Yangshuo. So keep reading. So what does the Yangshuo E-zine offer you this time?

==================================== During my recent visit to Yangshuo I was introduced to Leo and Xiao Yang. They run a very nice little hotel in the heart of Xingping. As all travelers know, Xingping is extremely beautiful. And Xingping should be on your "to do" list when you visit Yangshuo/Guilin. Most travelers go to Xingping for an afternoon or they walk around after the river cruise. Until recent there was not a classy hotel in town I would want to recommend. That all changed when Leo and Xiao Yang opened This Old Place. I invite you to check Leo and Xiao Yang's page on our website. And especially look at the second picture... isn't that view worth to stay at least a night in Xingping? But you should consider a longer stay, especially if you are interested in doing some physical activities. Leo and Xiao Yang have a series of activities ready for you. Have fun! - http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/this-old-place.html ==================================== It may be no secret that I like the Snow Lion Resort. To me, it's by far the best option in and around Yangshuo. I might be biased as I know William and Linda, the owners for many years now. So lets hear it from other guests: - http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/snow-lion-is-beautiful.html - http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/one-of-the-most-beautiful-place.html - http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/heaven-on-earth.html Still not convinced? Or you want to meet William and Linda first? - http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/william-and-linda.html The resort is beautifully located near the Li River near the tiny (800 villagers) Mushan Village: - http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/mushan-village.html One thing that really amazed me when I visited recently was how little seem to have changed in Mushan. Even though Yangshuo and mass tourism is located so nearby, Mushan is virtually untouched. If there is one place near Yangshuo where you can see something of what some would call "the real China", it's here in Mushan Village. http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/snow-lion-resort.html ==================================== Keep up to date with the national and international news about Yangshuo. Our live feeds are updated as soon as new news comes available. - http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/traditional-chinese-massage.html ==================================== Everybody who knows me know I don't know much about shopping because I am not much interested in it. However, I can see many people ARE interested. Thus, for those people we have set up an overview of the shopping options in Yangshuo. No big shopping malls but an overview of the more interesting things to buy in West Street and other areas in Yangshuo town center http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/shopping-in-yangshuo.html ==================================== Karts mountains, limestone always have plenty of caves. Yangshuo is no exception. Some caves are more explored then others. Our Yangshuo caves page shows some of the nicest caves in the Yangshuo vicinity - http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/yangshuo-caves.html ___________________________Advertisement__________ Timeshare Timeshares afford vacationers the opportunity to visit their favorite vacation destination year after year without struggling to find appropriate accommodations. Because they offer pre-paid, week long accommodation, timeshares relieve much of the hassle of seeking out clean, comfortable hotels or motels and securing daily accommodation. Renting day-to-day space at a hotel can often prove quite costly. Owning vacation property in your favorite destination, like Yangshuo and Guilin, offers a great alternative that can be very cost-effective. Doesn't this sound great? Come on in and read more here: - http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/timeshare.html _________________________________________________ ==================================== Building a website is building a business. Being a web designer is not all you need to know. Many websites look beautiful but get hardly traffic. I see websites that tell you you should buy from their site without explaining why. For fact, did you know that people hardly go on the internet to BUY something? People go on the net to find information. Based on that information they MAY buy. This means, a webmaster has to explain why you should buy a product from him. We call that Pre-Selling. I hear sometimes that pre-selling is a waste of energy. You want to sell. Of course you want to sell your product. Websites like Amazon.com and Buy.com are big enough to skip the pre-selling. They are big international companies that have a reliable status and everybody knows them. How about you? How many people in the world know you? No one, except some friends and family. Therefore you HAVE to pre-sell and proof you are reliable and worth to buy from. Egoods are a good thing to sell online. It does not require any stock so it's easy distributing. But it still requires Pre-selling. Our special ebook selling page explains in detail how you generate substantial income with selling ebooks online: - http://egoods.sitesell.com/webselling64290.html
Keep in mind... buy two SBI packages for just $100 more! You have to hurry... only available until November 9! - http://www.sitesell.com/webselling64290.html ==================================== Malaysia is more then any country I traveled food obsessed. It seems sometimes that people care more about their meals then about their families, well... I know, I am exaggerating. The truth is that you can't get in a discussion with a Malaysian without getting a discussion about food. And it's not surprising. The food in Malaysia is amazing. Some people claim the food is compared to Thai, Indian or Chinese food disappointing. What they really say is that they don't know what Malaysian food is! The extraordinary mix of Malay, Indian and Chinese cuisine has created a unique kind of food nowhere else to find. Even the Indian or Chinese dishes are very different from the countries where they originate from. Compare for example the price and quality of a meal in Malaysia to the price/quality in Thailand. The Malaysians do a better job. For the same price you get a much better value. The food courts are always the best options. Walk around make your choice. Because the competition is fierce at a food court, the stalls have no choice then do their best to make you happy, and they do! Many tourist go back home with sweet memories of the Malaysian food. For those people we have a set of cooking books available. - http://www.pulau-pangkor.com/cookbook-auction.html And for those who do not know what Malaysian food is... here's a basic overview of the huge variety of the Malaysian cuisine: - http://www.pulau-pangkor.com/Malaysian-food.html
==================================== While I was in Yangshuo I made many new friends. Jeanie was one of them. Jeanie Hore is a teacher at the Omeiga school (see the next post). Through Jeannie I met, online, Travers, a professional artist. He lives and works in Shenzhen. I am not very familiar with Shenzhen so I had never heard of an area of art shops and studios. The quality of the paintings as I saw them is amazing. You ask, they paint. There are several criteria and Travers, as being an experienced painter can paint what you ask him. Ever dreamed of the Cornfield with Crows of Van Gogh? or a real oil painting of William Turner in your house? Turner paints them for you. You name your painting, Travers paints it! And it's surprisingly cheap. Here's more about Travers and his painting: - http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/chinese-painting.html ==================================== Jeanie Hore is one of the teachers English in Yangshuo. If teaching is what you are looking for, Yangshuo is a good choice to teach. I did a few guest classes (if I can call them that way...) and it was good fun. Typically the classes are small which gives you a great interaction with the students. And students come from all over China. I plan to back to Yangshuo before the winter comes and I am looking forward to do another few hours. I might see you then? Interested in teaching English? Call Jeanie at : +86-137-1437-1779 ==================================== Since many years the William and Linda's 7th Heaven is my favorite cafe in Yangshuo. Now moved to the more quiet location at Chengzong Rd it is more then ever my favorite. The rooms are much better then in the past, when 7th Heaven was located in the middle of West Street and the food is as good as ever. Highly recommended for budget travelers and families alike. http://www.yangshuo-travel-guide.com/7th-heaven.html ----------------------------------------- |
